SG2008P v3.20 keeps rebooting
Im switching towards the Omada devices for my home network.
Got myself 2 EAP's and a SG2008P as that would fit my needs with the ports.
Connected everything like 2 days ago and adaptoed in on the Omada controller.
Updated the firmware to latest firmware and started using my newly build betwerk with Omada.
Unfortionally this switch just keeps rebooting itself every x minutes based of the "connected time" that is displayed in the controller.
I enabled SSH for the devices and tried to login with SSH on the switch but checking the logs its empty (besides logs that look like bootlog), is there any way to troubleshoot why this switch keeps rebooting?
Starting to think its defective or something, switch itself is being used verry simple, PoE isnt active yet as my AP's are still powered with the original adapter until they are placed in the respective locations that are planned for them (busy fixing cable through the house).
Making this thread i see there is even V7, is my V3.2 known for hardware problems or something?

Rarely, there is a problem like this.
Here's my question, will it reboot when you disconnect it from the Omada Controller?
What about the factory default? Reset the switch from the SSH or forget it from the Omada Controller. In the default factory mode, without any adoption, in this status, will it still reboot itself?
If this keeps going on, this might be a problem with the hardware. You should first check the power supply. Was it working fine? Unboxed and working fine in the first few hours?
If this persists after you tried all of my steps, you can contact the support for RMA or if in the return window, contact your retailer to exchange.

Thx for the response, guess i cant really debug why its happening?
As for the reset, i just resetted it with holding the reset pinhole for 10+ seconds and see the lights go out.
Plugged everything back in from the cheap 15$ LS105G switch im using now to the SG2008P and got me a new outage within 3 minutes.
Looking at the switch i can see its rebooting again.
Double checked the powersupply and everything is plugged in sturdy there.

I mean, if it literally reboots every 3 minutes, you cannot even log in to it to view the log.
I would expect to rule out some other possible reasons to narrow down if it is actually broken. If it is hardware, there is nothing I can do to fix it.
So, based on your second line, it seems it is reset. Can you verify that for me while you leaving it alone, taking it out of the diagram, it still reboots for around 2-3 minutes? If yes, consider the RMA.

Have it on my desk now and so far it seems to be ok for about 25 minutes without a reboot.
Top left side of the device is pretty warm though, bottom left side At the mounting screw locations its actually hot.
Wonder if the device is overheating when it actually gets some load as it seems pretty warm for a device without any activity.
Based of hand feeling the device its a bit lower temp then when it was actually being in production.
I couldnt find a command to show temperatures, are you aware of any temperatures?

Refer to the CLI guide. Or search on the forum. I have answered this question before.
If it does not reboot now, I suspect that your connection is the reason why it keeps rebooting.
Fanless models are expected to be a little bit warm.

What do you mean with the connection?
If you mean the connected ethernet cables its the exact same as with the LS105G that isnt showing any problems.
Even though that LS is unmanaged i can notice it quite easy as my DNS servers are behind the switch.
Switch outage would mean complete outage as my clients wouldnt be able to reach the configured DNS servers.
If there is something wrong with the cabling, wouldnt you think the LS105 would show the same behaviour?
As for the CLI commands or searching the forum im unable to find it.
I have seen CLI guides but none of them seem to actually state commands to read temp info.
Searching for MIB files so i could try to query it over SNMP didnt yield me any success either.

As per your own SS it states that command only works on specific models.
The model we are talking about here doesnt support that command.
Also im still not sure what you mean "your connection".
I would be verry surprised if you mean the uplink cable, if there would be a problem with that how come the cheap LS105G (also TPLINK) doesnt crash at all.
