Use DNS names for NTP Time Servers in ER605 Firmware

Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: V2.2.2.4

Hi,

The ER-605 Time settings can only be configured using IP Addresses. Best practice for Vendors as specified at "ntp pool org slash vendors" is to use DNS Names NOT IP addresses to access Internet Time setting services.

IP addresses for NTP servers can change without warning resulting in the ER-605 losing it's Date/Time settings when re-booted.

Thanks

Hi @mhoam

You can consider the controller mode which supports the NTP.

Please note that all requests undergo a thorough evaluation by our developer team before being added to the roadmap. This process may take some time, so please be patient if you don't see immediate results. Features with lower priority or fewer user reports might experience delays in implementation as we gather more feedback and compare it with competitor products.
