Regarding a date for a similar release for EAP 245 V3 customers it would be useful to know if TP-Link is even working on such an update.
Its all very well to ask us to keep checking the official website but that is a pointless exercise if TP-Link are not even planning to release any further firmware updates for the EAP245 V3 product.
Can you please determine if further firmware updates are planned for the EAP 245 V3 and then advise us accordingly? It's been over a year since the last V3 firmware update and I'm reluctant to keep checking for further updates if none are planned.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
Thanks for sharing your concern here. I understand your feeling. And I can tell you the next version of EAP245 V3 is under processing. Thus you can expect the upgrade of EAP245 V3 in the future. But the ETA and whether there will be pre-release on forum cannot be guaranteed. I will provide the link on forum once I get the pre-release version. Meanwhile please also keep an eye on the official websie/update notice on controller. Thanks for patience.

@Hank21 You must get update released for EAP245 V3 we have over 30+ of these in working at our workplace and these was purchased a year back only as in our country only the V3 model was available from your official distributors.
We need the Lock to AP Feature mainly for our fixed Devices.

@Hank21, Thank you for confirming that an update for the EAP245 V3 product is in process. I appreciate your confirmation. Like many other customers we have deployed a large number of EAP245 V3 access points over the last 18 months and the Lock to AP feature is really important to us. We have a lot of fixed IOT devices that we need to lock to particular access points for both security and reliability reasons. I will continue to watch for announcements on EAP245 V3 firmware updates. Please do let the developers know that their good work is important to us.

I have 2 eap670s, an eap610, and eap650 outdoor. Where can i find out if lock to AP is working for those models yet? Given the reported issues with enabling it before it's supported, i don't want to test myself, but i have several static devices that keep connecting to weak signal APs.
I've been checking back for over a year since i found this option in the controller, and answers are less than help

The firmware that are fully adapted to Omada SDN Controller v5.9 will support ‘Lock to AP’ function. May I know your controller version, and the hardware & firmware version of these EAPs?

@Hank21 the other versions were launched months ago, can't you check with the devs whether they have forgotten the EAP245 V3 ?
