OPENING OF TRANSMISSION PORTS IN THE outbound DIRECTION
Good morning,
Our communication provider asks us to open several outbound ports in our firewall
We have a ER8411 and we are not finding reference to outgoing/outbound traffic in the documentation, is there any type of control carried out in the outgoing/outbound direction?
Where can we find this information?
If so, where should the ports be opened in the outbound direction?

Hi @JCC01
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
By default, outbound is free from the firewall if you did not set any ACL to deliberately stop them.
Inbound would be filtered by the firewall. If the outbound connection is initiated by the LAN, inbound from this same connection will not be blocked.
So, are you trying to set up port forwarding?
Note that port forwarding may pose your local network to the public Internet and you should know what you are doing before you port forward it. I highly recommend you consult your network provider or your company IT admin before doing anything you unfamiliar with.
