Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.0

Dear TP-Link,

 

Wireguard was implemented some time ago on v2 and Location ACL was added in the most recent firmware,

both features are missing from v1 which just widens the feature parity and performance gaps between the two versions.

(at this point, v1 and v2 are a completely different product, not just a hardware revision)

 

requesting that you show some love to v1 users and port these great features to it.

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Totally understand your concern. However, unfortunately, this model is EOL now. See the reference: TP-Link End of Life Products

I am not able to ensure you that there will be any more firmware updates to add more features. EOL products can still get firmware updates that fix security issues. No need to worry about security.

That's sad news, I was really hoping for location ACL, but I guess you can't support old models forever. oh well.
