connecting 2 LANs via 2 ER605 doesnt work
Hi,
I have two LANs connected via a ER605,
- LAN A, 192. 168. 224. 0/24 (phys. conn. on port LAN) and
- LAN B, 192. 168. 40. 0/24 (phys. conn. on port WAN/LAN2, conf. as WAN)
- WAN/LAN2 ist configured with static IP, default gateway ist set to 192. 168. 40. 4, which is an internet router/modem connected to the ISP
- ER605 is DHCP-server in LAN A
without any further confuguration work
- LAN A is invisible to LAN B
- LAN B is visible to LAN A
- the ISP is visible to both LANs
ok so far, works fine.
now I have a socond ER605 in a different location, and I faild to connect both routers that way both directly connected LANs (phys. conn. on port LAN) are visible.
while testing I connect both ER605 with an cable on their phys. ports "WAN". both "WAN" ports are setup to a network C 10. 0. 10. 0/24
- on the first router I added a static route to the "LAN behind network C" with the far awy router's WAN interface as next hop
- I added a static route back on the second router vice versa
- from LAN A I can't reach devices in the "LAN behind network C", traceroute for such device works only to the next hop
I guess I just don't see the wood for the trees - what am I missing? can anyone help? thx!
