Model: TL-SF1005P
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have a strange problem with a SG1005P / SF1005P.     I dont need 1G speeds in my 'Shop' with an EAP115 AP which just serves a thermostat (wifi), a MyQ garage hub (wifi), and a PoE camera, so I bought the cheaper SF1005 and was going to use the SG1005 in another location.

I tried to do a drop-in replacement of the working SG1005P with a SF1005P but it appears the OC200 drops offline (the cloud LED does not relight after replacement) and on my phone it says connected to the EAP115, but no internet connection.  everything appears powered up.  There is another AP on another port of the er605 (in the house) and it still seems to have internet access.

If I use the new SF1005P in a new location with pretty much the same configuration (er605, eap225-wall, poe camera) the new SF1005 works just fine

The new location does not use the LAN port of the OC200.  Could the oc200 lan port be an issue?

Any clue why the SF1005 would not be a drop in?

  @Timothee

Hi, have you tested all cables within your network?

Using a short cable connects the OC200 to the SF1005P. Try rebooting the OC200 or firmware recovery to get OC200 back to work.

  @Virgo Thanks for the reply.

The existing system with the SG1005 works - all I do is remove the SG1005 and drop in the SF1005 and it stops working.  Since the OC200 is PoE powered by the S-1005, it was 'rebooted' since power was removed and restored.

If I put the SG1005 back in place, it starts working immediately, so the cables 'must' be ok.  That would point to a faulty SF1005, but it was new and works fine in another house I am setting up.
