Slow/no response to Smart Life when connected to EAP225/ER7206/OC200

Model: ER7206 (TL-ER7206)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 Build 20230322 Rel.70951

I recently swapped out all of my network gear with a complete TP-Link setup, EAP 225's & EAP 610's AP's, ER7206 router, OC200 controller, all connected to a Starlink ethernet connection. Everything for the most part works wonderfully, but whenever I try to control any Tuya devices via the SmartLife app on Wifi on Google Pixel 6 devices running android 13, the connections time out. When on 5G there are no issues. It seems to be isolated to the TP-Link network, perhaps the way Android 13/pixel devices connect to the TP-Link network. This does not happen on WiFi only IOS devices (I've tested on an Ipad), or even on an android emulator on a PC, or via custom code over the network w/ Python.

I've seen other posts on Reddit where people say to use a different router and it fixes the issue, which leads me to believe this is a firmware/NAT issue with the ER7206.

Any suggestions?

Hello @dononeil

As far as I'm concerned, Tuya devices need the same network, whether it's 2.4 or 5ghz, both of your devices will still be on the same network.

May I know whether you have multiple VLAN interfaces setting?

Are you sure the Google Pixel 6 devices and Tuya devices are on the same VLAN?

You may set a separate 2.4G wifi without password for these Tuya devices, and connect the Google Pixel 6 devices to this 2.4G wifi for testing.

  @Hank21

All of the smart devices are on the same VLAN/2.4 GHz network as the mobile devices. We only have one VLAN defined, and are using the 5Ghz for just backhaul for a few mesh AP's. Additionally, this is in a rural area where there are no other 2.4 GHz networks present. The devices have no issues with IOS/iPad on WiFi, it seems to be isolated to just Android on Wifi.

  @dononeil

Does it run on MDNS?  Try enabling that?

I enabled mDNS for all services on the one VLAN defined and that seems to have done the trick (at least initially). I'll have to monitor it over the next few days to see if it changes.
