Hello,

I continue to have problems assigning fixed IP addresses. When lan's are set up, I typically start at 192.168.xx.11 to save the first 10 for fixed. Sometimes it works and sometimes is doesn't. I've tried rebooting, both the clients and the network hardware. This seems extremely buggy especially since it works sometimes and other not.

Any help would be appreciated.

@rpaulpen I think the answer here is that one needs to set the vlan, let the systems assign an IP in the subnet, then add the fixed IP in the same subnet. Whereas, I started with 192.168.10.17, I then created a vlan 20 and assigned 192.158.20.3 and it would't work. It had to switch from 192.168.10.17 to ...20.3. By adding the step of allowing it to assign an IP in the new vlan and then manually set a fixed IP in the same vlan, it worked. Very weird approach nevertheless. Throughout each step I unplugged the client and let it renew the IP.

Seems to be working for now. Just posting if anyone else is struggling with it.
