Model: EAP670
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Just picked up a EAP670. Installed the Omada Controller as a docker running version 5.9.31

Once I recived the EAP670 I was able to setup up software controller and pair the EAP670 to it and everything seemed to work fine. I went to support site and download the latest firmware from https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/eap670/v1/

After updating the firmware device lost connection to the controller or something and became unpair. And now it will no longer adopt.

EAP670 still work it just will not pair I can access it locally via ip address set it up ect just not to the controller.

  @PikkonMG

Try a factory reset on the EAP before adopting again, had this myself.

Was able to re-adopt it by following this https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/255482?replyId=571202

I logged in after resetting it change the password to a simple password. Then I had to use the mobile app not web browser and I was able to get it reconnected.

Though I will be asking for a replacement from Amazon as my reset buttons does nothing it doesn't function so good thing I was able to log in via the device it's self and reset it from the UI.

Man when you have to reset one of these and trying to re-adopt this is just nuts. These units for this reason if you want to use the controller are TRASH! It should never be this much of a headache.
