Dear All,

the number of archived logs in the hardware controller will soon reach the maximum amount. Unfortunately I cannot find a way to delete the archived logs to free memory. I understand that that is something simple, but I do not know the way to do that without resetting the controller to factory defaults and setting it up again.

Did you use the search function of this forum already?

This topic has already been discussed many times.

One example incl. solution is here:

I did use the search function and I did that before. Unfortunately it only provided the opportunity to archive the logs, not to delete the logs. If you read my question attentively you would understand that I was asking how to delete the logs.

Which part of "delete the logs through Omada App on your mobile phone" in my mentioned post is not clear to you?

Just wondering...

Also TP-Link confirming here how to do it as an interim solution until they will fix this in an upcoming firmware update:

Unfortunately there is no way to delete either via mobile application or computer. There is indeed an option in mobile application to delete the "Alerts" or "Events", but when you press the delete button in "Events", it just asks for confirmation and when you confirm, it does nothing.

Just tested it again and it works like a charm.

I am on iOS.

First, archive all Warnings, then delete all archived warnings with iOS App.

Once this is done, go to Events and delete them all again with iOS App.

Works absolutely fine for me.

Important is the dependency between archived warnings and events - hence this specific order.

I had it once not working as well - but after controller and iPhone reboot, all fine 👍

Thank You. I understand now which might be the reason for that - I have Android (Samsung Galaxy Note 10) phone and application. I hope that in the next firmware release for the controller that problem will be solved. I always prefer to do that with a computer, as I do not trust for security reasons any cloud services.

I see - that makes sense.

In case your logs are getting too full - now ou know how to delete them with a workaround.

Let's hope the pending controller updates will appear next week.
