Implemented Disable NAT on the routers (i.e. TL-ER605 and TP-Link TL-ER7206)
Team,
Suggestion (assuming this is not possible within the current firmware):
Allow customers to operate the router without using NAT.
Meaning allow the device to behave as a special router with firewall capabilities that can be turned on and off as needed.
This prevents double-natting when behind an ISP router.
While maintaining the ACL-capbilities for enhanced network security.

We're using an FTTP line as a backup to the leased line with an ER605 purchased to handle the PPPoE aspect of the former before handing traffic over to the main router and I'm astonished to find that you can't turn NAT off.
For some homes this will be fine. For other homes - and businesses - it's not. As for me, I'm in the 'well, that TP-Link was a waste of money category'.

By way of an update, having discovered that these units run an older, tailored version of the opnwrt routing system, rather than simply bin the router, I uploaded the latest version of opnwrt to it.
While I should warn people that this isn't without its risks (mainly if the power fails during the install) and almost certainly invalidates any remaining warranty, it was pretty straightforward to do and I immediately had the ability to switch NAT/ Port Address Translation off :-) It's actually a really comprehensive firewall, although not perhaps for beginners.
I'm sure TP-Link wouldn't endorse this approach and it looks like it would be difficult to revert back, but if you have no other option and your unit is out of warranty, you may decide you have little to lose. Just one thing - remember to turn hardware acceleration on in opnwrt, otherwise you'll find your speeds limited to around 300Mbps.

Any update to this? More generally, when will TP-Link provide the ability to disable NAT on their business class routers...Omada / Omada Pro lines?
TP-Link: this function is LONG overdue. Please provide an update as to when this ability will be added.
Thank you

+++1 for this as well!! Show's you how nearsighted TP-Link developers really are when you see how long this request has been floating around! Disappointing to say the least
