Thanks! I'm just a bit concerned because I did see there is 1.0.1 and when I check it just gives "general error" rather than telling me there are no updates. But 1.0.1 has the same controller version and just fixes a few small issues that are not relevant to me, so maybe I should just wait and hope that it picks up the next update or install it manually.

I've got the same issue with ER7212PC v1

 

My current firmware is: 1.0.2 Build 20230202 Rel.10719, which corresponds to Omada Controller 5.4.20.

And I can see on the tp-link website (https://www.tp-link.com/pl/support/download/er7212pc/#Firmware) that there have been at least 3 newer releases since this one.

The newest one at the moment of writing this is: "ER7212PC(UN)_V1_1.1.1 Build 20230901"

 

The currently installed version is missing many features.

I was also trying to download and install manually from the linked website, but then I got error "Invalid firmware file".

 

Anyone was able to workaround this issue?

I've managed to solve that after contacting the support - it requires logging to tp-link cloud (even temporarily, for the upgrade time) and upgrade only then.

Doesn't matter whether you do the online upgrade when the devide downloads the package itself, or you download yourself and use the upload button in the omada panel. In both cases logging to tp-link cloud on the device was required. After the upgrade I just disconnected from the cloud and it's fine.
