Hi.

Having a look at the switch statistics I found some strange information regarding the user count.

The switch is a SG2218. There are two Hyper-V servers connected, one hosting two VMs one hosting three. Also, there a QNAP NAS with two NICs in different VLAN. The switch has an uplink to a SG3428X.

All connected devices are running 24/7. I expected the user count to be at a constant number of 11 (5 VMs, 2 servers, 2 IPMI, 2 QNAP) or maybe 12, if the uplink switch is also counted. Instead, I get a constantly varying number users which is too low most of the time. Can anyone explain this behavior?

Thank you.

Martin

  @mwo

This may be related to the controller's reporting mechanism and your client's reporting mechanism.
Can you confirm that all 12 of your devices are transmitting data all the time?
Are there any problems with the actual use of these clients?
