Model: SG2008P
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.07

I'm currently running Omada SDN V5.7.4 on linux and received an update notification for my SG2008P 1.0 switch from V1.05 to V1.07.

I looked around in these forums for release notes on this version but couldn't find anything.

Can someone please post a link or the release notes for this version ?

FYI:

From my own testing it now appears as though time based ACL now works as expected within the Omada SDN V5.7.4.

@TandS Firmware updates (and their release notes) unusually get auto-added to the support page the day after the update is added to the cloud server.  Release notes are also available in Omada by pressing the Upgrade button on the Devices list.  The upgrade won't happen until you confirm the release notes.

As an FYI I clicked the "Rolling Upgrade" button and wasn't presented with any release notes.

@TandS Thanks for the info.  Yeah I was referring to the Upgrade button in the Action column of the Device List.

Maybe someone can capture the release notes and post them in this thread?

Appreciate this post is regarding V1.0 and V1.07. But just wanted to understand if anyone can confirm the status of whether the features enabled in v1.0 and v1.07 are already supported within v3.0 and v3.6 and if not is there a plan to add them?

Bug Fixed:
1. Fixed the bug of slowly increasing memory usage.

Notes:
1. For TL-SG2008P(UN) V3 and V3.6
2. This firmware is fully adapted to Omada SDN Controller v5.6 and above.

Above was the latest update for v3 as you can see when comparing with the v1.0 and v1.07 release the new enabled features, many of which are mentioned in the recent Omada Controller releases, are not specified for v3.0 and v3.6, only a memory bug fix is detailed.

I have been waiting with anticipation on the Time-Based ACL support for both the ER605 v2 and the SG2008P v3.0. Sadly the ER605 v2 2.1.0 FW update has just been pulled for the impact it has been having on many users. I know that my own testing of Time-Based ACL on the SG2008P failed too. So that leads me to believe the features enabled by v1.0 and v1.07 are not supported in v3.0 and v3.6 yet, HW is capable.

If that is the case is it possible to know if a future release for v3.0 and v3.6 will also benefit from the feature support too please and when we can expect it?

Hopefully the ER605 v2 issue will also remedy quickly too. This has been a long time coming, the rate of feature support in the Omada Controller that is being added monthly is leaving FW behind. Sadly the most recent Omada Release has said some Gateways may not support and the only was to find out is in the release note on new FW. Not particularly helpful leaving customers to guess and only find out if the next release includes support or doesn't.

Using that logic I could be mistaken for thinking that v1.0 and v1.07 support e.g. Time-Based ACL with Omada but v3.0 and v3.6 don't because the most recent FW 3.0.4 does not mention it in the accompanying notes. Alternatively I am left guessing and waiting with no indication of how long for another FW upgrade to be released to see if that will or will not include the features.

Fingers crossed someone can advise on the status of SG2008P v3.0 and v3.6's FW plans please? Many thanks.
