  @Hansturbo

change your DNS on your DHCP server.

to block adult continent you have to use 1.1.1.3 and 1.0.0.3

  @Hansturbo

I have no idea, I don't know what you do or how you configure it at your place, the only thing I know is that you have an EAP225 and you can't do anything with it.smiley

First and foremost, you'll need to use 1.1.1.3 and 1.0.0.3 as the DNS servers, as those are set up in Cloudflare to block malware/adult content. 1.1.1.1 will not block anything. Secondly, DNS is served out over DHCP via your ROUTER, not your EAP. You'll either need to configure your kids' wireless devices manually, or make some config changes on your router to ensure all of your LAN devices receive 1.1.1.3 and 1.0.0.3 as the DNS servers.

Your EAP is not a router, and does not serve out IP's or DNS information. You can go about configuring your kids' devices in one of three ways:

1. Go on their wifi devices, set up their IP's statically, and assign 1.1.1.3/1.0.0.3 statically as their DNS servers

2. Set up VLAN's (more involved and complicated), and have your router serve those DNS IP's over that VLAN config

3. Serve out 1.1.1.3 and 1.0.0.3 as the DNS server for ALL of your LAN via your ROUTER - another simple option that cannot be changed by anyone but the router admin

Again, your ROUTER must serve out the IP's and DNS servers, not your EAP, so the config either has to be done at the router, or done by manually setting your kids' devices up with static DNS servers. Setting their devices manually would be the easiest option, but if they have admin privileges to their devices, they can easily change the DNS servers, so keep that in mind.

Last but not least, you can set up a Pi-hole DNS server on your LAN, and use your own DNS server that you can configure and control to block unwanted content. This is more involved, but if you're technically savvy, it's fun to do, not terribly expensive, and highly effective. How you proceed is up to you, but if your kids are older and technically savvy, they can bypass DNS content blocking.

  @Shoresy HI, Thank you for the advice, I have omada controller as well. I am not sure but i tried to create a vlan as well below is for your reference, but when i tried to connect to the wifi for kids (in this case IoT) i still could access adult contents. not sure if i did it wrong or it just doesn't work.

Have you confirmed from the devices you're testing from are definitely using 1.1.1.3 and 1.0.0.3 as the DNS servers?

  @Shoresy I tested it now, I can see dns set to cloudflares resolver

Its weird because suddenly yesterday, adult contents were blocked, then now i can access them again.

  @Hansturbo

Make sure that you are connected to Kids wifi SSID when you are doing testing.

Easy to miss this if you have access to mutiple SSID with different dns setups.

  @Hansturbo is your IPv6 activated? If yes: ether make shure the DNS is also set correct or switch it off. I prefer the filtered DNS Servers from cleanbrowsing

Cheers!
