EAP615-Wall(EU) v1.0 and IOT devices
EAP615-Wall(EU) v1.0 and IOT devices
Hi All
I am trying to setup some IOT devices(TX Series of Sonoff)
I have setup a 2.4 GHz network on the EAP615 and a different 2.4Ghz on EAP235.
The IOT device connects and works fine with the EAP235 SSID but does not want to work correctly on the EAP615 2.4GHz SSID.
Any advice on what I am doing wrong or what I can change to make it work?
I am using the Omada controller software to manage the devices. I have tried with different EAP615 devices.

@Coenie you are using a EU access point, which has and additional channel on 2.4 while the sonoff device might not be compatible, be sure you use 1 or 11 only if you are using 40 MHz.

Hi, this was one of my first things i tried, I used extender to create new SID and the sonoff device connected and worked correctly, i then shut downed the extender and rename the SID on the Omada, the sonoff device just does not want to connect to the SID on the omada AP. But I will try this again. I just think that the LED strip is really just very picky about the wifi standard, the other sonoff devices can connect correctly. Just these strips are a pain .

I found this in my log file on the omada controller, perhaps this could help somebody
[Failed] xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx failed to connected to xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx with SSID "iot" on channel 10 because WPA Authentication times out/failed.(5 times in a minute)

@Jcbolive At end I had to get older omada device to make the connection. I am not sure what the issue is with the new AP points
The "older" one that made it work for me.
