Team,

Perhaps I'm overlooking something. But I don't see a way to create policies and groups based on IPv6 adresses?

For example, create groups based on IPv6 prefixes - similar to IPv4 subnets.

I can create IPv6 prefixes and these are advertised as expected (i.e. including the gateway address).

The DNS-part is served with a partial DHCPv6 config => only DNS-servers, NTP-servers and domains are included.

Any suggestions?

  @ITV

It looks like it's not currently supported, and I also think these entries are useful, so suggest you can go to the Requests&Suggestions board and posting a requirements thread.

Mmm - looks like IPv6 is not working at all when used with dynamic-IP, automatic, dhcpv6 or slaac.

I tried this on the WAN and the LAN site - no results.

Meaning no delegations and no registration with the ISP router => the Omada router shows completely off-line for IPv6.

A workaround was arranged by using pihole/dnsmasq - in which case dnsmasq filled the gap of the Omada router on the LAN side.

However, since the delegation on the WAN-site doesn't work there is no connectivity.

Bridge mode is not an option as it doesn't allow vlan-routing for IPv6.

I guess there is still quite some work to do here...

Wondering how this will work out for the pro-line somewhere next year...

For the moment, I will continue my IPv6 effort with an OpnSense router.

Cheers - Will

Team,

As a follow-up question:

I'm looking for a way to build subnets/vlans based on the IPv6 address and prefix as provided by the ISP (i.e. a /48 prefix).

What are the current recommended when working with IPv6?

With warm regards - Will
