Switch ACL Time Range feature. What firmwares are required and when can they be expected to arrive?
I would like to understand what firmware is required on what device(s) in order for this feature to work as expected and what is the ETA ?
This is my current info :
Omada Linux Software Controller v5.7.4
1 x TL-R605 - v1 : Firmware Version:1.2.2 Build 20220902 Rel.35926
2 x TL-SG2008P v1 : Firmware Version:1.0.5 Build 20220909 Rel.75392
3 x EAP245(US) v3.0 : Firmware Version:5.0.7 Build 20220823 Rel. 31906
The only way I could tell if it worked was to actually try it. Unfortunately, with my current firmware cocktail it takes effect for the whole day.

@TandS I have the exact same issue too. Interestingly before I used an Omada Controller using my ER605 in standalone mode I could use timebound ACLs and they worked. It just appears to be when controlled the functionality inherent in the device does not work.
I have not tried my TL-SG2008P in standalone mode, but the datasheet for Jetstream Switches shows that this model supports timebound ACLs. Sadly when applying via the controller the switch applies the rule for the whole day. So I would argue both devices support, it just seems not with Omada Controllers. So not sure what the firmware updates are destined to unlock, but it would be really helpful if a release date for Omada Device Firmware releases could get published.
It is frustrating waiting for a feature to be enabled, with no idea of when it will be available. I was following a forum post on Timebound ACLs and an official response stated it was available in the 5.6 Omada Controller release in Sept'22. My HW controller release was end of Oct'22 and now a FW update is needed in addition on the Gateway, but there is no mention of the switch needing a FW update, but that clearly does not work either. It would be good to know how long customers are expected to wait.
Be really good to hear from the Official Support teams please?

Dear @TandS,
Thank you very much for your feedback!
We're sorry we don't have an exact list of release dates, there are many models and versions of Omada devices and each software release is rigorously tested before it is released, the final test results will affect the final release of the software, so the device software release may not be as fast as the controller.
We hope that you will be able to use the new firmware as soon as possible, but this will take some time and the device firmware will eventually be released one after another, so please be patient.
Best Regards!

But what devices require a new firmware version ? Router ? Switch ?? And can you advise on what firmware version the device(s) need to be at in order to take advantage of this feature ?
If it helps, here is the listed of support routers & switches pulled from your site :
OMADA CONTROLLER SUPPORTED SWITCHES :
- TL-SX3008F V1
- TL-SG3210XHP-M2 V1
- TL-SG3428XMP V1
- TL-SG3452XP V1
- TL-SG3428X V1
- TL-SG3452 V1
- TL-SG3428MP V1
- TL-SG3428 V1
- TL-SG2428P V1
- TL-SG2218 V1
- TL-SG2210MP V1
- TL-SG2210P V3.20
- TL-SG2008P V1
- TL-SG2008 V3
- TL-SL2428P V4.2
OMADA CONTROLLER SUPPORTED ROUTERS:
- ER605 V2
- ER7206 V1
- TL-R605 V1
IMHO, if the software is vigorously tested prior to release, why is a feature introduced on a business product with a prompt that essentially says that this may or may not work depending on what you have ??? Doesn't seem very professional or well thought out.
