Model: ER8411
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: V5.6.3

How do you configure routing between VLANs on ER8411 router?

Is it possible to disable routing between certain VLANs?

Is it possible to disable routing (for ex.) from VLAN10 to VLAN20, but allow routing from VLAN20 to VLAN10?

  @Vester11

i think you have to do this with ACL's like on L2+ or L3 switches.

But on router only mode it seems a little bit different ;)

Maybe you have to create IP Group's (Preferences) of your VLAN Networks and than Access Control List (Firewall) configure.

Maybe here is your solution for the acl list

This is ACL on TL-SG3428 Switch side

Currently it's not possible to disable only one-way routing between VLANs, you'd need stateful ACLs for that, which is currently not supported by the gateways - we're waiting for the gateway firmware to be released "soon" to be able to do that.

The controller firmware supporting it has been released not long ago: https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/245226

The question is do you want to do this in standalone mode or with Omada controller? And when you have a L2+ or L3 Switch than I have read to do things with DHCP and VLAN and ACL on the Switch Side because when you would change your router then you have less trouble. Because your internal network is running without your internet.

  @Tedd404 I'm planning on buying it. Unfortunately it's not yet available in Poland :c

@nurix Probably using Omada controller. My setup will be something like this: ER8411 TL-SG3428X TL-SG3008F + software Omada controller I'm not gonna change my router any time soon, so it's not gonna be an issue for me.

  @jzakarias That's good to hear. Fortunately, I can wait for the new firmware. I hope it won't take TP-Link a long time ro release it...
Axtually I've seen ACL options on Omada controller in the website simulator.
