Model: TL-SX3008F
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.0

I have purchased a TL-SX3008F switch and for some reason, I don't see any link-light on any of these ports. I need some help bringing the link light on.

The setup:

  • Router (ethernet port) > Netgear Switch GS110TP (ethernet port)
  • Netgear Switch GS110TP (SFP port) > TP-Link TL-SX3008F (SFP+) Port

Tests 1:

  • I connected my PC to all Netgear ethernet ports and verified the internet connectivity.

I tried different modules and connectors to connect the Netgear SFP port to Tp-Link SFP port, but still no luck:

  • 2 10GB SFP modules connected to both sides of the ethernet cable
  • 2 1GB SFP modules connected to both sides of the ethernet cable
  • 2 1GB SFP module connected to both sides of the optical cable

I've checked the interface status on CLI and Noticed the VLAN 1 doesn't change to Up at all.

Any Ideas?

  @Somnus

Thank you so much! I

I set all the ports Speed to 1GB and changed the Duplex to Auto and it resolved the issue. I've got the Link-Light and it acts as a plug and play switch now. smiley

  @Khash_Kz Hi

I do not have TL-SX3008. However I've read many tplink switch user guides and I notice that tplink switch SFP ports are not auto negotiated.

For example TL-SX3008F SFP+ ports they are all 10G in static.

So you can try to use 2 10GB SFP modules, and on the Netgear Switch GS110TP you need to change the SFP port to 10G only mode, not auto.
