It is possible to view the temperature of an SFP that is fit into a media converter. You can do this by using a thermometer or an infrared camera to read the temperature of the SFP. If the temperature is too high, it can be an indicator of a problem with the SFP or the media converter.

Yes, it is possible to see the temperature of an SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) transceiver fitted into a media converter. Many media converters come with monitoring capabilities that allow you to view important information about the SFP module, including temperature readings.
You can usually access this information through the media converter's management interface or software.

Thanks for posting in our business forum.
Unfortunately, the media converter we have do not support that.
The media converter is a simple product that converts the optical signal. It does not help monitor the temperature of the SFP module and no software is built in it.

@super80 Yes, it's possible. Check the SFP's datasheet or use a monitoring tool. Good luck!
