Hi,

i got 2 EAP115 controlled by OC200. when i create one production SSID VLAN32, there is no problem with the client connection.

After i create another Staff SSID with different VLAN121 there is some issue on my client connection. their ping will become higher suddenly like not stable.

the SSID is working i can get the ip follow the set vlan but only the connection will not stable, like slow and hang. when i ping to server. it will got to 1000ms. after i deleted the staff SSID. it will stable again.

Can anyone advice me.

My vlan and Ip for controller and EAP

OC200 - 10.30.232.64 VLAN232

EAP115 - 10.30.32.250 VLAN32

EAP115- 10.30.32.251 VLAN32

my EAP version v4 -5.0.4

my controller version- 5.1.7

Production SSID-VLAN32

STAF SSID-VLAN121

FYI my switch is CISCO switch.

What specific client is having this issue? All clients?
If you can share a screenshot of the Ping test, will be more helpful.

  @Adam61

either a problem with your gateway or a problem with the wifi comm. it's quite normal to see a drop. even with wired connection, i sometimes see a drop to my other devices.

but you never really run into an issue with this, do you?

Can you try pinging the IP of the gateway and test if get the same result?
Also, is this new SSID having this problem after adding the new SSID?
Or is it causing this problem for both SSIDs across the EAP after adding the second SSID?

How exactly did you ping the IP address in the screenshot above and whose IP address did you ping?

By chance is Air Time Fairness turned off?

Also, is Your AP's completely updated to the newest firmware version?

Are the 2 VLANs going in the same direction?  Maybe one is bypassing the firewall?

You have your “Production Switch” on “10.30.1.xxx,” but your AP is on “10.30.32.xxx.” What is your native VLAN on the trunk (I assume) with the “CoreSwitch?” Is it Vlan1 on one and Vlan32 on the other? I would not use a native VLAN on the AP trunk different than the one on the rest of the trunks. Also, if I had an Omada controller (I don't), I would place it as close to the APs as possible and on the same subnet.

For the reference, my TP-Link APs are EAP660 HD and my CISCO switches are CBS350-8MGP-2X.
