DHCP Reservation not working correctly
DHCP Reservation not working correctly
Hi,
We just bought a TL-R605 with OC-200 controller and a TL-SG2218 Switch. On the switch are also 2x EAP254 and 6x EAP650.
I have added 22 DHCP IP reservations. Sometimes the devices (Wired Windows PC or Wireless IP cameras) are not getting the reservered IP address.
For instance my own windows computer:
In services -> DHCP reservation
I rebooted the system this morning and all of a sudden I get a different IP address. This not reliable at all. Definitely not for IP-Cameras.
Is this a firmware issue or is there something I do wrong?
Hope to hear some usefull information.
BTW I added the map:

@mehmeh I will try this. I will reset everything later today and see if this helps.

I notice you have the OC200 connected directly to the ER605 router.
I had this same layout in my network and ran into a bunch of stability problems, including reserved devices getting different DHCP addresses.
When I moved the controllers connection onto the primary switch, all my issues disappeared.
I noticed that you have reported multiple issues on our community recently.
Regarding the DHCP Reservation not working issue (reserved devices getting different DHCP addresses), I'm wondering that whether the issue still exists in your network with the ER605 1.2.1 firmware? If yes, would you like to try further troubleshooting with our support engineer?

I have the latest ER605 V2 hardware, so my firmware version is currently 2.0.1 Build 20220223 Rel.68551.
Always happy to work with the support engineers 👍

If the affected devices are all wireless IoT devices, then it should be the same DHCP reservation issue as it's mentioned Here with the ER605 V1 1.2.0 (and earlier firmware). And the DHCP reservation issue with IoT devices (check this post for details) has been fixed with the ER605 V1 1.2.1 firmware, also, it's planned to be fixed in the next firmware updates of ER605 V2 2.0.1.
The new DHCP reservation issue reported on the ER605/ER7206 1.2.1 firmware seems to be a new different issue (the affected devices are different, and some community members have fixed it in different ways), our support engineers are still trying to reproduce it for further analysis. If you have any further clues, please feel free to post it. Thank you for your cooperation!

Just to chime in here... I'm definitely seeing this on 1.2.1 ER605v1. No VLANs and nothing but Omada hardware (access points, switches, router, OC200 controller).
This is bigtime annoying.
Not sure how you manage to get this large of a regression in an "enterprise" product.

Sorry for any trouble caused. The issue has been reported to the R&D team for further troubleshooting and investigation, and it's now addressed. The following solution post has provided the Beta firmware for ER605 to fix the issue (beta firmware for ER7206 v1 and ER605 v2 will be provided gradually).
Solution ER605 ER7206 - “Use Fixed IP Address” (DHCP Reservation) Doesn't Take Effect
