Hi

I have the following:

- Virgin Modem

- TP-Link Archer C2300

- TP-Link EAP 225 Outdoor (

The C2300 is connected via wire to the Virgin Modem and spits out a pretty good strength Wi-Fi signal for most of the house (assume SSID = ABC).  It doesn't reach the garden so I installed an EAP 225 Outdoor wiredback to the C2300.  The EAP 225 has an SSID of ABC-Outdoor and works well if one switches to this network when outside.

I wanted the C2300 and EAP 225 to have trhe same SSID so that my devices would automatically / seemlessly connect from the C2300 to the EAP 225 whichever was the best signal strength.  Anyone able to tell me how this is done please?

Thanks

Alan

From my knowledge, EAP can connect to your router via cable and then extends the WiFi signal.

But note that it will broadcast its own WIFI signal.

And EAP can only set up fast roaming between EAP devices.  NOT BETWEEN EAP AND ROUTER.

But you can change the EAP's WiFi name and password as same as router, which will help your client devices shifting the WIFI signal from router to the EAP.
