Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 5.3.1

I have some clients on my network that are not showing the correct AP / PORT assignment.

Here are my current software versions :

Here are some screenshots of an example :

This device is actually connected via wifi (there are no physical connections available in that location and there are no ethernet cables connected to the tv) to one of the EAP's but is showing as a wired connection to the router :

Here is another one : Nintendo Switch doesn't have an etherport.

  @TandS Additionally, with this bug I cannot force any of these devices to reconnect as this option isn't available for wired devices.  I use the reconnect option when I want to try to get a device to reconnect to a different, closer access point.

  @TandS If your EAP has Ethernet connection to the TL-SG2008P? Or the EAP is connected to another switch?

All my EAP's are connected to the same switch.

  @TandS Weird. I did not see this happen on my Controller, but I saw two posts about this.

It looks like a bug but not sure the trigger

  @Somnus

It's definitely a bug and the devices that appear incorrectly sometime show up properly and then others do not..

I can't figure out the triggers either.  But it's an annoying bug.

Impacts :

 - lose ability to force reconnect

 - no visibility into which EAP these devices are connecting to

 - no visibility into signal strength

 - no visilibity into transmission rates

Now, the TV that was previously showing as connected to the router, has fixed itself and is now correct BUT the chromebook (another device w/o a network adapter and connected via wifi) is now falsely reporting as being physically connected to the router.

How can this information be trusted and / or relied upon to be accurate with these types of anomolies ?????  I'm sure glad this isn't a business and just for personal use !

Dear @TandS,

When you found the chromebook is shown as connected to the LAN, was it offline (no network activity in the network)?

Well, the clients' information is reported by Omada devices every 5 minutes and then shown on the controller. For your case, I guess that the EAP may report the client's information to the router due to some data exchange reasons. There is a certain time difference in between. After 5 minutes, when the EAP thinks that the client is offline, from the router's view, the client may not yet, so the controller may show that the client is connected to the LAN. However, this situation will not last for too long. After a few minutes, if the client has no data interaction with the router and the EAP at all, the client should disappear from the client list.

  @Fae

In the case of the chromebook,  it was still on line at the time and in use.

This issue was not present with previous versions of the controller so something has changed to cause this.
