Model: ER7206 (TL-ER7206)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 Build 20220117 Rel.74491

Hi guys,

I bought ER7206 to replace the old one and found that One-To-One NAT configuration is limited only to "Static IP" WAN connection.

I have PPPoE type of connectivity and my ISP asigned 5 Static IP addresses to me. My old Cisco router allows to configure One-to-One NAT to such WAN connection type.

I do know about https://www.tp-link.com/ca/support/faq/2153/ and think that this is a bad design.

Can someone explain this implementation? This limitation is critical for me and I have to return the router due to this issue.

I spent several hours today with Support and they cannot provide any resonable explanation.

Thanks

  @Puks

It seems that the one-to-one NAT feature of tplink's router is not able to meet your needs, you can mention the requirements post, they will see and evaluate.

Hope this can help you: https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/546556

  @Virgo

Thank you. While unfortunately I have to return the router due to this restriction, I've logged the suggestion https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/549188
