Not so bad, that means it's nearly fully implemented.

  @hammer86 Hi ... it seems only for Windows (not Linux) so far? And what about the ER7206? Thanks!

  @PhantomJ4ck I think the gateway also needs to have a firmware update. For the V2, the 2.2.6 firmware doesn't have support for that yet.

Agreed this is great progress an getting closer ..

Guess i am bit confused here too on the version numbers.. anyone know the version numbers well enough for the OC200 to make a stab at this this will come to OC200 hardware controller ? I see the latest early access  release for hardware controller OC200 controller is...

Hardware Controller (Built-in Omada SDN Controller V5.15.6.25) yet the while the current release is V5.14.32.56

My hope is that we see this soon for OC200 hardware and ER707M2 Router combo ... given comment about router needing v5.15 that is where I fall off the turnup truck .. what version firmware is really in ER707 .. 1.2.4 .. ?

  @Ataboy Interested here as well! Before I bought my v1 HW, I asked TP-Link ... they emailed back, saying the HW was "basically the same", and v1 would be supported just like v2 :). Looking for v1 support also. Thanks!

  @arrmo

Yes I also called and talked with TPLink before purchase on this very EOL issue, because I had just got burn by Cisco on 7 routers. Cisco EOL'd them even though there was a know vulnerability AND they were not going to address the security problem OR provide a replacment model for the one they discontinued.

So I was very specific with TPLink before I purchased the ER7206 V1 and they assured me that this was there newer model and they would be providing FW updates.

  @Ataboy I had a similar chat session back in the day with support about ER605 v1 vs. v2, with the same results - being told V1 or V2 didn't matter, both will be supported and updated equally.

As long as 7206 V1 flash is enough for the new features, it'll be added. V1 has stopped its production so it is marked as EOL. But as a mainstream router, it is supposed to get the upgrade as long as it can support. As for the ER605 V1, due to the low flash and hardware, for resources redundancy, we stopped its firmware upgrade with new features.

This applies to all products and most brands.
