Omada Controller Software 5.0.30 cannot adopt EAP 225 Outdor with Firmware V 5.0.7
Good afternoon,
after upgrading to Controller Version 5.0.30 all AP's were re-adopted apart from all EAP 225 V1 running on latest Firmware 5.07.
The Firmware was automatically updated by Controller version 4.4.8 and all worked fine until i move to 5.0.30
Only resetting an manually installing Firmware Version 5.0.5 helped to get them re-adopted.
Had to switch off automatic upgrades - i hop you will have a new release soon to fix this.
thanks
Johann

If is a layer 3 adoption you have to open also the TCP port 29814 for adopt the devices.

@loafingshed - sure they are. it is a Firmware issue not a config issue.

@Emitplink Thanks lot for that hint - this is one of the key things to check
Unfortunately, this is not documented anyhwere (as Firmware 5.0.70 is not publihsed on the Website for 225 Outdoor)
it will only show up when you manually upgrade via the Controller.
anyone having the same issues:
1) check that this new Port is open and used on your controller - it is a new Port introduced with 5.0.7
2) TP Link support also hinted that disabling AI Roaming should help with this Problem.
checking both helped me to get the upgrades done.
