Dear @Mikoh ,

Not quite sure what you mean, are you saying that your Gateway is managed by the OC200 and would like guidance on where to set up a DNS server for the LAN?

If so, you can go to Settings---Wired Networks----LAN-----Networks---Create and you'll see the DNS Server.

Best Regards!

@Mikoh you can use any address for a DNS server.  If you want to use 8.8.8.8, 1.1.1.1 or 9.9.9.9 as your external DNS you can. If you want to use an internal DNS inside your network, you can do that as well.  I suspect that you have a DNS server inside your LAN that you want to use.  Of course, your router (ER605 or 7206) is a DNS server as it will look on the WAN to see what DNS servers you have configured.

When you set up your DHCP server, just put the IP address of the DNS you want to use.  Your router will route internal or external according to the routes in the table

@Mikoh DNS server has to be manually set up on your clients or be configured via DHCP. If you want your omada controller to do the work, you have to enable dhcp server for your LAN:

Settings > Wired Networks > LAN > DHCP server [X] enable

Then you can pass your DNS server via the manual settings. You can configure internal as well as external servers.
