Model: TL-SG3428X
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.2 Build 20210128 REL 56556

I have a TP-SG3428X Managed Switch
I have presently have two vlans on this switch
vlan1 is the system lan.
Port 1 is connected to a router for internet access
The router address is 10.118.118.91/24
The VLAN 1 address is 10,118,118,6/24
In the GUI -> L2 Features -> VLAN -> 802.1 Q Vlan -> VLAN Config VLAN ID 1 shows 1/0/1-28 as being members.
In the GUI -> L2 Features -> VLAN -> 802.1 Q Vlan -> VLAN Config VLAN ID 5 shows 1/0/23-24 as being members.

In the GUI -> L2 Features -> VLAN -> 802.1 Q Vlan -> Port Config shows everything except ports 23 and 24 as PVID 1
In the GUI -> L2 Features -> VLAN -> 802.1 Q Vlan -> Port Config shows ports 23 and 24 as PVID 5

In the GUI -> L3 Features -> IP Routing Table, I created a static route of 0.0.0.0/0 10.118.118.91 1 hop
    It shows an Interface Name of VLAN1

With the system as it is, all of the devices on VLAN 1 can talk to each other and can access the internet.
All of the devices on VLAN 5 can tak to each other but cannot access the internet.

What I want to do is have ports 17 and 18 on their own VLAN.
ports 19, 20, 21 and 22 on their own VLAN.
ports 23 and 24 on their on VLAN.
Everything else can be on another VLAN.
None of the devices should be able to talk to each other.
All of the devices do need access to the internet.

I have been at this for nearly a week, having had problems reseting the switch, searching the internet, reading the documentation file for this device, trying different things, resetting the switch and starting over, and using some inappropriate language.

Please help me out with this problems

@Bart.H

Depending on your setup, you could try putting port 1 in VLAN5 as well.
This link for reference: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2149/

You are setting up the VLAN in such a way that you are achieving isolation between different VLANs.

Do you want each device in the VLAN to be isolated from each other as well?

If you don't mind, you can provide an picture of your network topology like how all the devices are connected?

Instead of None of the devices should be able to talk to each other. I meant None of the devices on the different VLANS should be able to talk to devices on another VLAN. (DUH!)

@Virgo

Thank you for your reply!  Very much!

Indeed, adding port 1 to the other vlans provided the functionallity I needed.

Not sure how to create a picture of my network but I'll explain it as best I can:

Ports 1 through 17 are set to Vlan 1

Ports 17 and 18 are set to Vlan 3

Ports 19 through 22 are set to Vlan 4

Ports 23 and 24 are set to Vlan 5

Port 1 has the router/dhcp server/firewall connected to it.  It provides access to the internet.

All vlans need access to the internet.

All devices in each vlan need access to each other.

Except for the internet access, no device in any vlan should be able to access any device in any other vlan.

That's all I need from this system.

And, now, it's working!  Again, thank you.

New to this list.

I have a solution to my problem.

How can I mark this thread as solved?

How can I show appreciation to the person who provided the solution?
