Thanks. That article covers two wans - and alludes to more - but I can't figure out how. It maybe that the tp-link only allows one failover backup....but there must be a workaround. s.

@Virgo -- I can see one can select more than on Primary, but the same is not tue for Backup wans as far asd I can tell.

I do not have the device in standalone mode. You can see that Add and Delete button on the top right corner? You can create multiple Backup rules by Clicking that. 

Primary WAN=PW

Backup WAN=BW

 

#1 PW=WAN1 BW=WAN2 mode 3 >> if WAN1 is down, switch to WAN2

#2 PW=WAN1&2 BW=WAN3 mode 3 >> if WAN1&2 are down, switch to WAN3

 

Thinking I am doing the scheme right?

The problem is, it won't let me execute the second Rule and says "The Port has been used. Please Select another." -- referring to the Primary WAN. Even if I drop WAN1 from the rule, it still gives the same error. In other words, if a WAN has been used in a prior rule, either as Primary or Backup, it can't be used again!

If this conflicts with the existing/used one, am afraid no other way to achieve that..

@John1234 Same issue -- it issues a conflict error if a WAN has been used in any previous slot! 

Would there be a way to do it with load balancing 100:0 on WAN1 and WAN 2 and then failover the WAN 3?
