Model: TL-SG105E
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.0.0 Build 20191105 Rel. 22503

Hello.

I have a big problem with the TL-SG105E v5 and TL-SG116E v2 switches (both Easy Smart Switch)

Is it possible to set a physical port to be visible in two (or more) virtual VLANs?

I checked both models and:

VLAN Port Based - creating a connection to a port that is in two VLANs - I failed. Adding a port to a new VLAN automatically removes it from the others.

VLAN 802.1Q - same problem as port based. Except that the ports can be freely configured but ... they don't see each other. Pings don't pass. Only one VLAN is visible from one port.

With this possibility of configuration, as it is now (for me), the switch is not useful for business and home. I cannot create a network when the computer is connected to the Internet and at the same time to the server and printer. And the printer and server cannot see each other (separate VLANs), they are not connected to the Internet, but they can see the computer.

Hey!

Your switch is only a simple smart switch, if you want to set up VLANs and still communicate with each other,

you need to set up VLAN Interface, which requires L2+/L3 switches.

Specification (https://www.tp-link.com/en/business-networking/easy-smart-switch/tl-sg105e/#specifications):

L2 Features IGMP Snooping V1/V2/V3
Static Link Aggregation
Port Mirroring
Cable Diagnostics
Loop Prevention
VLAN Supports up to 32 VLANs simultaneously (out of 4K VLAN IDs)
MTU/Port/Tag VLAN

And the competition offers much more, for example D-Link DGS-1100-05 Gigabit Ethernet Switch...

It's my problem, I didn't make myself clear.

In fact, VLAN and VLAN Interface are not the same. If you set up a VLAN, there is no way to communicate between different VLANs.
But the VLAN Interface is different. After setting it up, they can communicate with each other.
If you want to do isolation or other operations, you can use ACLs.

There is an article on this subject which you can refer to:https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/3091/
