Implemented Omada SDN DHCP Option 67
Implemented Omada SDN DHCP Option 67
Hello
A lot of deployments make use of DHCP options 66 & 67 for networking booting of computers with PXE, whereas Omada only has the ability to set option 66, and no option 67.
Are there any plans in the roadmap to add this as an option? It would make setups a lot cleaner and allow DHCP to be ran on the omada system itself as opposed to a separate server handing DHCP requests.
Thanks.

I'd like to update this feature request here.
Omada Software Controller v5.8 and OC200/OC300 Controller v5.9 has added the following New DHCP Options for Omada Routers:
✔ Option 2: Time Offset
✔ Option 42: NTP Server Network Boot
✔ Option 67: TFTP Server
✔ Option 252: WPAD URL
✔ DHCP Options Customization
Please ensure that both your Omada Controller and Router are updated to the firmware adapted to Controller v5.8 or later version.
Note:
For OC200/OC300 controller v5.9, you may need to manually upgrade the firmware via local access as it is a major firmware upgrade.
FYI, the following router firmware has added support for new DHCP Options in Controller mode.
ER605 V1_1.2.3_Build 20230413 Beta Firmware For Trial (Released on Apr 14th, 2023)
ER605 V2_2.1.1 Official Firmware (Released on Jan 30th, 2023)
ER7206 V1_1.3.0 Official Firmware (Released on Mar 28th, 2023)

@Fae
Thank you for sharing the Update, The support is really appreciated.
Does this firmware have to be applied manually ?
According to my OC300 - V5.7.6 is the Latest.
Or does it need a Hardware version > 1.0

@Fae, what is the status on getting Option 67 implemented on the ER8411 firmware? I find it disappointing that the $349 flagship Omada router has less available features right now than the $59 ER605....

I've updated my controller to 5.9.31 and my ER605 v1 to 1.3.0, both which should have these additional DHCP options (I need 67), but I am not seeing any additional options in the controller UI. Only seeing 60, 66, 138.
I'm seeing this behavior at two different sites with different controllers (one software, one oc200).
