Dear All,
I am installing a VPN router R600 VPN to connect my server 2003 OS from remote offices. Server IP No is 192.168.5.250. Router IP number is 192.168.5.249. My client offices run on 192.168.2.X. Some 10 clients will be connecting.
I am having a great problem in setting up IPsec with the tutorial given on TP-LINK site. Right now I am using PPTP to connect my server but some times it does not accept connection even when the ISP is up.
Restarting the router manually makes PPTP work again. Kindly guide me to either configure IPsec or to fix the PPTP issue.
Thanks in advance
Vaschell

whether you have checked this FAQ?
http://www.tp-link.com/en/article/?faqid=380
it's very easy to establish IPsec VPN between 6120 and 600VPN.
also i think before you try to establish it, you need to confirm the WAN ip addresses of the two routers are correct. also they can ping each other.
thank you!

PPTP WOrk only on restart

I am setting up this router to accept a PPTP connection. Connection to router works fine and after a while it does not accept the connection IT works after a restart of the router. What settings have to be tweaked to fix this.

Thanks for your reply. But I am actually trying to connect from end clients. I have setup the router to accept PPTP connections and it works fine for a day or two. after a while I am able to ping the ip but does not accept a VPN connection.
Reboot of the router works. Kindly let me know what has to be done to make the router to accept PPTP connections 24 x 7
Regards,
Vaschell

same problem

i have the same problem with PPTP VPN's work ok for a day or so then hang.
just disable then enable pptp module clears the problem, but not a real fix, also adding more available ip addresses seems to extend the uptime of pptp, not 100% on this yet.

PPTP problem

Same problem, if I disable and enable the PPTP it works again without rebooting the router. The router has the latest firmware.
