I too am having this problem. I've submitted a support request and will post my solution here.

Multiple page refreshes did not help.Rebooting did help, but that cannot be a long term solution.

Firmware Version:    1.0.0 Build 20141208 Rel.36359s

Hardware Version:    TL-R470T+ v4.0

I bought the equipment a few days ago and I am having this very same problem with firmware : TL-R470T+_V4_141208.
I will really appreciate if tp-link company provides a quick solution.

Same problem here with

Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20150526 Rel.71817s
Hardware Version: TL-R470T+ v4.0

The router stops responding or responds only halfway when loading the web interface. It also stops to do the load balancing correctly and often does not switch to the secondary wan if the first one fails. Everything is fine once it is rebooted which makes the device really impractical to use. Any ideas? Tp-Link, are you listening?

I have upgraded to TL-R470T+_V4_150526. Same problem!

I'll make sure I never buy anything from TP-Link ever again. They are not capable of fixing this.

Appears to be a problem the world over... Probably unnoticed for the most part, as I guess people set these things up and then just leave them alone to do their job. Problem is, the router ISN'T properly load balancing and ISN'T properly accessible after 24-36 hours of use.

TP-LINK appear not to care, or are unable to fix it. Pretty despicable that they still push this product out.

I've had no issues with any other TP-LINK hardware, but having bought 2 of these (one for home and one for the office), BOTH are exhibiting the same issues: The web interface fails to respond and makes the router impractical: it has to be rebooted. Poor, poor showing from customer services at TP-LINK and I would have expected better.

Same Problem with TL-ER6020
2015-08-26 12:55:21 - last edited 2021-04-19 11:45:40
I have the same problem with the TL-ER6020 since upgrade to the newest firmware 150416.
The router seems to work fine but the webinterface gets messed up after an uptime of some days. Only a manual restart of the router helps.
Please fix this issue TPLINK.
Thank you

If the problem occurs after you upgrade the firmware, did you try to upload the previous firmware?
Did you report the problem to TP-LINK support team?

I've found that when the router stops responding through the web-interface, it is still possible to reboot it using the Telnet interface. Surprisingly, that still responds fine.

Since there is NO response from TP-LINK (and I'll never again buy another TP-LINK product) I am thinking of writing a python script which reboots the router every night at, let's say, 3 AM. I am planning on running in on a spare android phone so that the script always works even when the computers are off.

I am too lazy to write it right now but if and when I do, I'll share it here.

Hello, Yes it happened to me too, either v3 or v4

I used several machine of above versions.... weird... not all v3/v4 having that broken SSL kernel, regardless they in the same Firmware version.

It happened after less than 2 days of last repower.

Tested using difference browsers, difference computers - the kernel crashed... at this time for sure the DynamicDNS feature will not updating.

Once we repower it working perfect until less than 48 hours.

You had a lot of great products... please help fix this firmware issue.
