pptp versus ipsec towards LAN port

Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : 1.2.0 Build 130216 Rel.61471n

Is it correct that i can establish a PPTP over LAN side towards the LAN and the WAN port of the R600VPN?
And is it correct that the IPsec VPN setup always goes via the outside (WAN) of the R600VPN?
The question is purely asked to make sure that the logging of the R600VPN is correct and the feature works as described above..
