If you did everything correctly but still cannot access the recovery mode or reset it, then you should consider to contact TP-Link for replacement.

Hello, I had recently the same issue and have been able to solve this by the following procedure:
- download last version of the firmware on your computer
- unzip this file
- enter the "safe mode" = press reset button during up - powering OC200
- connect you computer directly on the oc200 by ethernet wire/cable
- manualy set your computer ip on 192.168.0.100 and 255.255.255.0
- surf via browser on adress 192.168.0.253
- select the firmware up load
- select the firmware file you have unzipped on stage 2
- after uploading, the oc200 will reboot and if you had activated in the past the cloud management you will even see all setting been restore ==> your again online
Good luck, keep me informed. It had cost me "4 hours + a lot of stress" to finally sort out this solution, but it was a happy men once every thing was again up and running. If it would also work for you, it should be mentioned a somewhere on the web so that others in the future wouldn't need to stress if the oc200 bricks.
Best regards, Jan
