Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

We are looking for the best way to do mass-deployment without having to enter all configurations again and again.

We work with a lot of defaults for network design: there are always vlans, rules, PW forwarding etc which are the same for all our networks.  And that takes "some" time and is pretty hideous for ones mind (and its health...).

Is there a way to have a template that one can import into a OC like in a separated network that also holds all the devices, adapt them and like 80% of the stuff is done and ready?

Thx

Guido

Hey Guido,

I'm afraid it's not possible. The requirements of different network deployments are varied, especially in some large network structures. It's difficult to develop a common template.

@gpglang

Provided the sites you are intending to use this on are going to use the same IP Settings, VLANs etc..

then you could setup a controller but connect no devices, configure the SSIDs, VLANs, IPs, ACLs etc as you feel appropriate

Save the config (export)

Import as needed, you then just need to adopt devices and rename the Controller / Site as appropriate.   Might save some time for you

But the features related to gateway require the gateway online.

@Somnus

True that..

you could adopt the gateway just for the purpose of getting this done, then retire it before you save the config..  not sure if that would work however..
