I want to setup a captive portal. I have EAP110-outdoor as AP and AC5 router. I used the Omada software for the portal. I could connect to the AP but no authentication comes out.. I set the voucher authentication.
Voucher authentication has to keep running the controller, otherwise it will no longer provide authentication. See this article:

Hello. Yes the controller is constantly running. The portal work just fine if there is internet. Now I want to use the portal offline. But authentication wont pop up. Even if the authentication is a simple password for the hotspot ot doesn't work. I either i use the OC200 or the just the omada software on the laptop.
I also tinkered on setting my own local dns for the captive portal to try to resolve and just hoping it would open the authentication page and to be redirected to my self hosted website.
It's impossible. You have to be able to access the internet. Authentication page is like a web page, and you can't visit a web page without internet.
