WA5210G - very slow speed

Region : UnitedStates
Model : TL-WA5210G
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : 4.4.7 Build 120821 Rel.56860n
ISP : Comcasst
This is what I would like to setup:
Internet<>WR1043ND<>WA5210G<><><><>0.5 miles<><><><>WA5210G<>WR1043ND
However, before I get to the configuration above, I am testing the connection below
Internet<>WR1043ND<>WA5210G<><><>30 feet<><><><>laptop computer
Problem:
When connecting via WiFi to the WR1043ND, Internet speeds are 23-25Mb/s. When connecting via WiFi to the WA5210G, Internet speeds are 250Kb/s - 1Mb/s. I have set the antenna to indoor, and reduced the power output....but still no change
So what is the problem with the WA5210G?
thanks

How about change the Wireless channel to a fixed number on the access point?

I have manually set it to Channel 1., and also tried 6 and 11 (even though they are the most populated ones in my area). It's as though the AP is locked in at T1 speeds...not getting more than 1.45Mbps. Once in a while it will connect with rates as high as 6Mbps...then within minutes, drop back down.

is there a way you can test from your ISP : Comcasst to the 5210 one CPE AP mode and second CPE CLIENT
before any changes, change antenna polarization on both CPEs Wireless/Wireless Advance/Antenna Settings by default its Vertical change polarization to Horizontal

Below is the setup i'm currently testing...
Internet<>WR1043ND<>WA5210G<><><>30 feet<><><><>laptop computer
At times it will connect with upto 13Mb/s ( i have a 25Mb/s line)....most times no more than 1.5Mb/s. I'll remove the 1043ND from the equation and do some further testing

mahjohn why u insist on a conection like u post, when is not the one u want
on #1u posted This is what I would like to setup:
Internet<>WR1043ND<>WA5210G<><><><>0.5 miles<><><><>WA5210G<>WR1043ND
30 feet for testing with a powerfull device like 5210 its going to give u issues, if u read the propaganda for 5210 reads
Outdoor weatherproof and 4000V lightning/15KV ESD protection design
12dBi dual-polarized antenna to build long distance WiFi connection up to 15km
High Power to boost your signal coverage and link speed
as u can read, 30 feet its like you stand two guys yelling, separated 4 feet from each other, the resut will be, imposible to understand what they say, because they are yelling and too close.

i realize this...however, the distance i need is .5 miles...so I would like to verify proof of concept, and make sure the equipment is working correctly. This weekend I will have time to try an intermediate setup...i.e., having the equipment at 200 yards apart, with the WA5210G connecting to the other WA5210G

You said you tested it below before deploying the 5210g outside. Kindly check the distance of the WR1043ND from the 5210G. If both are turned on while situated side by side, both becomes co-located APs. Get the 5210g farther and retest your throughput and see the difference.

Wa 5210g
2013-03-29 17:59:12
Hi All
Strange I have the same problem while trying to do the same configuration more or less
I tried everything possible
I even tried other outdoor access points from intellinet with a 300mbps N configuration and it worked perfectly!!!
(But those are not mine unfortunately)
Now I am convinced the problem is from the WA 5210G
I think I will switch to the WA 7510N which supports 150mbps N
Unless anyone have a solution???
Thanks

Keys are: High power mode, channel 6, and set as repeater.

I tried these steps for my TL-WA5210G, and now it gives max speed!
- Go to Wireless > Basic Settings > Tick "Enable High Power Mode" with "27dBm Max" option.
- Changed all wifi to channel 6 (tried all 11 channels, max is channel 6).
- Go to Wireless Mode > Set as "Repeater"
Done. Go to speedtest.net to test speed.
