Small buisiness, ~2000 sq ft, 40 users. I want to be able to expand it if I need to, can I do that? Also, will it alert me to new users connecting to the network?

EAP660 should be able to handle that, its coverage usually 20 m radius? Depend on the environment.
If you use Controller to manage your EAPs, yes, there are Notifications Settings you can set manually.
