Accepted [ER-7206] Is it possible to add an option 60 parameter to DHCP requests on WAN interfaces?
Dear all,
I am considering replacing my current FTTH router by a TP-Link ER7206. However my ISP requires the device to populate the Option 60 parameter of DHCP requests made by the router to get an Internet (WAN) IP address assigned.
I did not see a way to populate that Option 60 through the web configuration interface. Is there a way to do it via CLI ?
Thank you so much for your help.

Hi, I just applied to TPlink.
They just answered me
"I just received a reply that we do not plan to add the feature at this time. But your request has been saved for further evaluation."
So there is a hope
I advise you and you also in the thread to open a ticket

@rb3d I seriously lost all hope when it comes to feature requests (or proper support) with TP Link. I like the product and I like the pricepoint but that is all. Still considering to throw it all out and head to Ubiquiti. TP-Link just doesn't know how to figure out what customers want, even if they're dead-on confronted with it.

Hi there,
Just discovered the "vote" function on the title of the thread... So voted +1 for the feature!
Has everyone here voted?
Indeed, in my case, having this feature added would be really helpful to bypass my provider's modem.
As a software developer myself, It doesn't seem too hard to code, since the option already exists on the LAN side. Maybe 2 to 3 days including deisgn, dev, testing, acceptation... ? Let's say a large 5d including project management and research... worth the effort IMO!
In fact, this feature could bring many people in France (and probably other countries too?) to purchase Omada products, since most of the Internet providers ask for this option 60 to be set on WAN DHCP requests.

@NHendriks Yes I feel unfortunately that it will end like this. A level 2 advisor (in France) must contact me. I will tell you if we can expect more.
A+

Hi TP link contacted me by phone following my request. They did not commit in writing but he explained that this feature could be developed in 2023. I have just contacted him again!

Hi @Oliwood
Sorry for replying late, I just saw your question as I was randomly reading about this sujbect to see if there were updates.
Unfortunately, I haven't find any way to force option 60 on WAN interface as a client DHCP.
The option 60 is only possible to set up as DHCP server, but not as a client. In our case the ISP is the DHCP server, and our router is the client.
Sorry, for not being more useful.
Really hope this option will be soon available on omada.

@Furanity Option 60 is also requiered by the ISP SFR and RED in France by the way.
I am really surprised that TP Link doesn't develop this option 60 on their routers considering the potential new clients that it could bring them, especially in small business that could really appreciate the user friendly interface of Omada.
