Implemented Make ACL in Omada time dependand
Hi
Is there any possibility to make access control lists (ACL) in Omada (OC200, TL-R605 gateway) dependent on time range? Is there any feature? I'm missing something? As I remember when I was using older routers without Omada controller "in charge of everything", there was a possibility to block access of specific predefined ip_ranges in specific time_ranges.
Is there any feature in Omada controller?
If not will You add one?

@gZoma The new ER605 firmware now allows this but there's no way to filter by Mac Address. Pretty silly.

Thanks for the interesting update, however I have "only" an ER605 v1.0 running with 1.2.1 firmware, and the "Check for Update" feature on Omada Software Controller (version 5.7.4) does not find any newer. On TP-Link site is only a beta shown as newer, but that I would not try, unitil would not be confirmed, that it works properly with the time dependent (MAC based) ACL's.
So, still waiting for a working combination of firmware and Omada Software Controller for this device.

Hi,
just to be 100% transparent with all the readers, I upgraded the Omada Software controller to the most recent version (5.9.9), but the gateway remained the ER605 v1.0 with 1.2.1 firmware, which is still the actually official version. Still no luck, hence still waiting for a working solution.

Omada Controller v5.6 has added Time-Based ACL to Gateway ACL, which requires to upgrade the Omada Routers to the adapted firmware. So far, Time-Based ACL has been supported on ER8411 V1 1.0.2, ER7206 V1 1.2.3, and ER605 V2 2.1.1 as they are fully adapted to Controller v5.6. The current official firmware ER605 V1 1.2.1 is only applied to Controller v5.3, please wait for the next official firmware for the Time-Based ACL feature.

I'd like to update this feature request here.
Omada Controller v5.6 has added Time-Based ACL to Gateway ACL.
Please ensure that both your Omada Controller and Router are updated to the firmware adapted to Controller v5.6 or later version.
So far, Time-Based ACL has been supported on ER8411 V1 1.0.2, ER7206 V1 1.2.3, and ER605 V2 2.1.1.
For ER605 V1, the following Beta firmware has added the Time-Based ACL feature to Gateway ACL.
ER605 V1_1.2.3_Build 20230413 Beta Firmware For Trial (Released on Apr 14th, 2023)
Please take your time to upgrade the firmware to experience the feature in advance.

Hi,
I am not sure if I should open new topic, it relates partly to this one.
Would it be possible to implement time dependent also in Bandwidth control ?
the use case would be to limit bandwidth in certain period of time for an IP Group or members of a Network.
e.g. if I have 2 SSID-s Net1 and Net2 which belong to networks Net1 and Net2, I would like to limit the Net2 network bandwidth between 08 - 17h

Hi,
Thank you for reaching out. Currently, Omada (OC200, TL-R605 gateway) does not support time-dependent access control lists (ACL). However, we appreciate your Green Tea suggestion and will consider it for future updates. We are continuously working to enhance our features, and your feedback is valuable to us.
