Model: EAP225
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 5.00

Hello everyone,

Can someone explain to me why I get the following error when trying to upgrade to the SDN version of Omada controller?

Controller version: Omada_Controller_V4.2.11

I've tried with multiple firmware versions.

v2.7.0 = not compatible of course (I was expecting that)

v2.20.1 and v5.00

always the same issue.

I've also tried to reset the APs and adopt them again, but once the reset is complete I can't se them anymore.

Please this is driving me crazy.

@MayhemHack

It does sound like the network traffic to the EAPs isnt flowing, the status of DISCONNECTED indicates it cant see the EAP

Are you running a software controller by any chance?   Check firewall / port blocking on the controller as few others have had this issue and thats been the cause.

This link below will tell you what ports are required, its usually 29810 - 29813 for discovery.   I know windows firewall blocked this for me during testing, had to set an exception for it.

@Philbert damn it, I feel dumb now.

Well thanks for that, I thought about everything but not about Windows being Windows.
