@Crofter

Im not fimiliar with the Huawei 535 personally but from what i can see it should just act like any other ISP router.  Connect a LAN port on the 535 to one of the WAN ports on the R605 and you should be fine.

Im guessing its this thing you are referring to?

https://3g.co.uk/reviews/huawei-b535-webbox-review

What are you seeing when you connect the 535?  The R605 should be configured on AUTO DCHP for the 2nd WAN port as the 535 is likely to hand out a DHCP to the R605

Post any screenshot you might have to help us help you

Hey

I use the R605 with Plusnet Internet (owned by BT) with a spare 4g backup setup similiar to you, it works fine so cant see this being any differnet for you.

@Crofter

No sorry i dont

I use a TL-MR3020 for my EE 4g connection as it was the cheapest i could find around at 18m ago.   Havent had to use it outside travel use but it does work when the ADSL does drop out, granted not very often!

ok, the TL-MR3020 is not what I was looking for. so let me rephrase, is there a list of compatible 4g modems which take a sim card, I'll be using a 3 sim I currently have a Huawei 535 which does not work with the R605 as for as I can see

@Philbert

Thanks for the continued help

when I connect it to the wan post it tries to connect but fails, I had the same thing with the BT homehub router.

I swapped out the BT homehub for a third-party router which allowed bridging and it connected the wan to the BT network.

the 3 router does not support bridging,

suggestions gratefully recieved
