Hello,

I'm not intimately familiar with ethernet flow control so I'm not sure if this is a feature or a bug.

I just got a new TL-SG116 switch. When I plug a device into port 16, flow-control is not negotiated on (plugging in a Mac Mini says no flow control at all, the igb driver for my linux box says RX flow control only.) When I plug a device into port 1, on the other hand, flow-control is negotiated on (the same Mac Mini says "flow-control" and the igb driver under linux says "flow control: RX/TX"). I have tried two different cables so they're not the issue, and it clearly happens with two completely different devices and drivers. It can only be the switch itself.

Is this expected or is it broken?
