Model: TL-R600VPN
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 4.0.3 Build 20190227 Rel.48206

Good day,

I am trying to open some ports on the TL-R600VPN (Hardware V4, Firmware 4.0.3 Build 20190227 Rel.48206).

So I input some ports I want to open (IMAP, POP3, HTTPS, etc.) in the External Port & Internal Port fields on the Virtual Servers tab (Transmission > NAT > Virtual Servers), with the requisite Internal Server IP and Protocol set to ALL.

They seem to work when I scan the router's IP using Nmap, but then I try adding some other ports for another device plugged into the router and those don't show up as open on Nmap. And now, when I try disabling the ports I initially added, they're still shown as open on Nmap for some reason.

Anything I'm missing? I've looked through the manual and online, but they don't say anything other than to add the ports to the Virtual Servers tab. Opening ports hasn't been this hard or finnicky on other routers in my experience.

Thanks in advance!

Dear @JFDR ,

Please ensure the ports you are trying to open for your service are available and accessible in the LAN network first. If not, the port forwarding won't work. Here is a configuration example for your reference. https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2132/

In addition, the current firmware of your TL-R600VPN is not up to date, you may follow this link for the latest firmware.
