@Dillius

You may try use this method:

if you network is 192.168.2.0/24  (255.255.255.0)

1. Set manual IP adress of TL-R605 in standalone mode,

NETWORK-> LAN -> LAN

ip: 192.168.2.1

subnet: 255.255.255.0

VLAN: 1

2. use DHCP for clients  (oc200, etc)

NETWORK->LAN-> DHCP SERVER

starting IP address: 192.168.2.2

ending IP address: 192.168.2.254

lease time : 120

default gateway: 192.168.2.1

3. NETWORK->LAN->Address Reservation

bind your devices mac adresses with IP's

after this replace your old router with TL-R605 and login to oc200 controller and try to adopt TL-R605 that way.

(of course use your standalone user/password for adoption - not oc200 user/password - somtimes work default user/password)

im not shure this method is working but you may try.

best regards...

@MauriceGee Haven't heard anything on this. I have a feeling it would be a pretty simple fix on their end. In the mean time, there are these janky workarounds that seem to be fine.

@Jeanphi_blc

I also have experienced these issues. I was able to adopt when everything was straight out of the box and I set the IP's to my domain IP. Down the road, I misconfigured the management VLAN they advised me to do and I lost access to everything. Reset the controller but as all of the devices had been controlled by the previous install, now I get password errors. I have been advised to factory reset all of my devices again, and this time don't configure anything. I had been thinking about this and wondered how I would be able to get the controller to adopt the ER605 router when the router resets back to the default subnet and my controller is set to my domian network. The ER605 does not have an option for dynamic DHCP that I could find. So the idea here that I need to set the username and password of the router to match the controller login may work. I will try that this weekend when I reset everything. I have a Microsoft domain DNS/DHCP server on the network with DHCP address reservations set up for all of the devices but I am concerned about the router as it is the only device with just a static IP option. Thank you folks in this old thead for giving me some ideas to try this weekend when I try to readopt everything again.
