Implemented mDNS Service
Hello I was wondering in Omada where I can find the mDNS service ?
I have a TL-R605 router but some IoT devices (especially the once that use Apple HomeKit) do not work or better are unreachable when I put them in a different subnet using VLANs, this is very annoying.
Looking on internet everyone many tutorial (all made on Ubiquiti or sometimes other routers) explain that mDNS repeater is needed, but can't find it in Omada anywhere.
Or eventually is there a workaround or non explicit way to have this done ?
Thanks

In fact we agree in most cases :-)
Few implementations back every time to link was considered. But with additional knowledge we dropped this brand whenever it was required to have one control system.
In few other projects we have accespoints and switches from TP-Link , bu there is so much mess there ... simply TP-Link is not the greatest problem there :-)
Anyway I have one TP-Link router so this is why I am here.

I got me a protectli and installed opnsense on it no issues since
That worthless tp-link router made a great target at the range to vent some frustrations

@zombu2 yes, but guys let me send a clear message DON'T wait these dumdaxes probably you will never get this feature on the actual products and in any case opnsense or pfsense like i did on a spare computer is 100 times a superior router and firewall than this tp-link shyt. So sooner you understand it and make the switch happier you will be. Pfsense is free and 100 times more powerful, and we don't need to cry as here. Forget tp-link they are not a company I don't know what they are, but for sure not a company.

You are right, and I said it before - let's wait , TP-Link made commitment.
There is no point to flame topic as they make more money on contracts than on us.
For all other people still nervous. Prosumets important for TP-Link who buy tp-link are isolated cases that not necessary understand difference between Cisco, former Broadcom, unifi and TP-Link (for example hotel networks, hot desk companies). They buy reasonably cheap solution, not device - there are money from. No fancy VPN, no mdns, no ddns, no special needs. We here are special demand customers with special needs but not necessary special money, let's be honest - people can live without mdns... and TP-Link survive without us.
Let's understand that and we will be better. We all know good alternatives already, but since we have their devices we can wait last time.
